Vehicle Description This beautiful Mustang was sold new at Coberly Ford in Los Angeles, California, west coast dealers had the unique privilege of promoting a very special Mustang in 1968, the Shelby inspired California Special.
Available only in the coupe platform, the GT/CS package utilized a Shelby styled tail panel and rear deck lid with integrated spoiler, quarter panel side scoops, front grill driving lamps, twist type hood locks, unique California Special quarter panel emblems and GT/CS side striping.
Production in 1968 was limited to just 4,325 units, this beautiful example is presented in Gulfstream Aqua with white striping and a black interior.
Under the hood is a C code 289CI V8 which is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
The mellow exhaust tone is provided by a recently updated aluminized dual exhaust system with quad exhaust tips out the rear.
This a wonderful car in all respects, it was purchased by the previous owner in 2015 and has been in California and Texas since new.
