Vehicle Description This very special factory 442 was the subject of a full rotisserie restoration performed under prior ownership.
The restorer paid particular attention to detail and updates to the performance profile of this legendary car.
The original glass was retained (with the exception of the windshield), the original door handles, wipers, bumpers, badges and trim were either meticulously restored or replaced with OE quality components.
The interior was completely restored as well, the carpeting, upholstery, door panels, sun visors, headliner, dash pad and gauges were either restored or replaced with OE quality components.
During the rotisserie restoration, the undercarriage was meticulously detailed and refinished including glass epoxy coatings to provide exceptional durability and shine, as well as chassis upgrades for improved handling.
A complete Wilwood braking system was installed with hydra-boost, this system boasts 6 piston calipers in front and 4 pistons at the rear using new stainless steel lines and proportioning valve system.
The 455 engine was completely rebuilt and performance enhanced and was mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission.
An upgraded Oldsmobile/Chevrolet 12 bolt posi-traction differential rounds out the upgraded drivetrain.
The iconic fiberglass 442 twin ducted hood has been custom modified and the trunk compartment has been completely restored with correct finish, remote battery box and heavy gage leads to the front electrical system.
Presented in Matador Red with Black 442 striping and W-30 accent stripes.
