Realty Technician (OA)

Researches and responds to rent inquiries from lessors and customers. May require some coordination with journeyman level specialists to determine action necessary, but most of the time, it does not. Prepares lease and preaward file folders to include typed label, required forms, and 8 tabs. Prepares award letters (to include COR, Lessor, Agency and FPS). Uses award checklist. Extracts information from source documents to complete award letters. Copies SFO for distribution (to include paper or CD). Prepares routine correspondence as requested. PreparesFedEx labels. Provides Quality Assurance (QA) by reviewing lease and preaward file documents to ensure completeness. Obtains, files and transmits As Built CAD drawings to regional CIFM Center and to appropriate Senior Property Manager or lease contract COR. Serves as control point for receiving and documenting space request receipt and assignment. Creates projects in REXUS and assigns responsible GSA associate (RGA) per supervisory direction. The GS-5 salary range starts at $37,635 per year, GS-6 $41,952, GS-7 46,619. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify for the GS-05, you must have at least have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level of Federal service in administrative or support work that provided general knowledge of real estate practices and leasing documents; and/or have completed 4 years of progressively higher education above the high school level (30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is equivalent to one full year of academic education To qualify for the GS-06, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as basic real estate experience which involves the review and input of various types of lease related data; and assisting with the leasing process. To qualify for the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is definedas basic real estate experience which involved management of a vast array of data relating to commitments and operating requirements; interpretation and application of realty documents and contractual agreements, occupancy agreements, and client billing records; and involvement in/assisting with the leasing process.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
