The OneMain Financial Legal Team is seeking a lawyer with financial services experience, primarily in insurance. This attorney should have a broad and extensive range of experience handling insurance matters for both life and property & casualty companies.
Responsibilities include:
Manage day to day legal activities within the insurance operations of OneMain Financial.
Provide legal advisory services to business managers and resolve moderately complex problems.
Be fully knowledgeable and have a thorough understanding of insurance regulation.
Keep abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes.
Formulate effective and efficient legal compliance strategies to meet business objectives.
Provide advice and counsel to various functional areas of the business, including identifying and mitigating risks.

Requirements
The minimum qualifications for the role are:
5 to 10 years of experience in insurance, consumer finance lending background is a plus.
Knowledge of federal and state insurance laws required, credit insurance preferred.
Significant experience with regulatory compliance.
Practical problem-solving skills to resolve legal and business issues.
Excellent legal and business judgment skills, and practical problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
Excellent analytical and organization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with others.
Ability to work independently and with teams.
The candidate must possess a law degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to the bar by the highest court of any state (and be eligible for admission to the Texas Bar.
Office:
This position is based in Fort Worth, TX. Minimal travel in required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
