Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist I position is responsible for assisting with the execution of marketing and business development activities to help achieve the firm's growth goals. Areas of focus include marketing collateral, digital media, sponsorships, promotional items, advertising, events, public relations, external and internal communications (newsletters and various campaigns), client/prospect and competitor research and data management, client satisfaction surveys, pursuit deliverables as needed, various report preparation, and other administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute various firm events across markets.
Proofread and edit content on all types of marketing department deliverables, as requested.
Coordinate distribution of various targeted electronic newsletters and timely alerts.
Ongoing maintenance of the email newsletter database and other repositories for client, prospect and referral source contact information.
Assist with development, editing and /or production of pursuit deliverables as needed.
Assist with the execution of the firm's social media strategy and write relevant, timely information on various social media platforms.
Assist with researching and managing vendors, as needed.
Assist with promotional item inventory management.
Assist with a variety of sponsorships to maximize brand exposure and employee participation at events, as well as brand consistency across markets.
Assist with research and metric tracking related to all marketing department responsibilities, including advertising, events, digital media (website and social media), external communications, and public
relations/speaking opportunities.
Research clients / prospects, competitors and markets as needed to assist with specific business development and marketing activities.
Prepare and distribute monthly industry revenue and bi-weekly pipeline reports.
Assist with invoice processing and budget to actual reconciliation.
Research and troubleshoot marketing department technology and data management related challenges.
Assist with the client satisfaction survey process and associated reporting requirements.
Develop a working knowledge of the firm's service offerings, markets, industry experience, methodologies and key service differentiators in all facets of marketing activity execution.
Adhere to the firm's policies and procedures, ACTION philosophy, demonstrate their importance to others, and provide input to management on suggested modifications to Firm policies and procedures as necessary.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree marketing, advertising, communications or related business discipline

year of relevant marketing communications experience.
Broad-based experience with B2B marketing communications; accounting and/or professional service firms preferred.
Skills
Excellent writing skills with the ability to create basic content and edit the work of others.
Ability to balance several assignments at once, while prioritizing and meeting deadlines
Working knowledge of various design programs and document production best practices.
Ability to work and interact with partner stakeholders.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, presentation and public speaking communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Prezi, etc. and a working understanding of CRM applications.
Ability to use excellent judgment, handle confidential materials and display a professional demeanor.
Work Environment Conditions
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work with exposure to noise at various levels for an office environment.
Ability to type on a keyboard and look at computer screen for 8 hours or more a day.
Ability to handle deadline pressure as it applies to the department engagements.
Overtime may be required.
Ability to lift approximately 5 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Ability to move, stoop, and/or bend over repeatedly as needed to reach files, workpapers, and other office materials.
Position requires tolerance for moderate stress.
Minimal travel required between firm offices when necessary.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
