Director, Supply Chain

The Director, Supply Chain will lead the overall supply chain function for the Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division ($825M in sales) and across the 12 locations of the division. The primary function of the role is comprised of five main responsibilities across the division's locations worldwide: definition and attainment of the division's material profit plan objectives including all externally supplied material spend and cost out objectives, management of the division's purchases worldwide, coordination and execution of the division's new product introduction as it relates to external suppliers, continuous improvement of supplier quality and delivery performance and leadership of breakthrough projects such as major re-sourcing activities, design cost out and material substitution. A successful candidate in this position will be able to identify, manage, and implement opportunities/projects to achieve the key business goals that are based on cost, quality and delivery.
This position reports directly to Aerospace's Supply Chain Vice President, with a functional reporting relationship to the SVP/GM of FED to ensure alignment with the business. This position is expected to leverage the Eaton Business System and leverage standard work sanctioned at the Aerospace Group level.

Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed material cost out project portfolio to ensure that the division will meet or exceed it profit plan objectives, including attaining the business case for all future.
Engage in Materials Management activities supporting the SIOP process, tier meetings, ensuring appropriate inventory management processes are implemented with suppliers & expand the usage of supplier schedules and VMI inventory.
Lead development and execution of commodity plans specific to the FED Division. Support development & execution of commodity plans for all other items purchased. Commodity plans must be coordinated across the Group and Eaton as a whole to ensure proper leverage.
Develop and execute strategies to utilize low cost country suppliers and to localize spend near Eaton's low cost facilities. Strategies must be developed for capital sources as well.
Work with Plant Quality organizations ensuring that all plant supplier quality spills are quickly contained and that corrective actions to root causes are put in place in a timely manner.
Work with the Group's supplier development team to ensure that all chronic issues are addressed.
Ensure that SCM resources support all new product development activities, including purchased component estimates for ProLaunch phases 0 3, budgeting new program supplier capital expenses, supplier quotation and PPAP approval & design for manufacturability reviews for all critical parts.
Develop financial models in support the division's manufacturing strategies. Champion make/buy proposals to the management team. Develop outsourcing projects plans & facilitate execution.
Prepare for monthly operating reviews to ensure that all objectives are on track & under.
Work with plants and commodity management to assure extension of payment terms to suppliers are extended in alignment with Division objectives.
Ensure that appropriate resources are deployed on engineering cost out activities and that an adequate pipeline of projects exists for design cost out.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in operations, engineering, supply chain management, or general business
Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing, material management or other SCM related position
Minimum 3 year's experience in supervisory position
