Our Fort Worth Construction Team currently seeks an Estimator to join their team and facilitate all aspects of the pre-construction process to provide a seamless transition from business development, to project acquisition, to project execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and facilitate the proposal process for specific clients including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.
Produce project estimates using proscribed forms, industry recognized techniques and TD standardized processes contained in the Construction Process Manual.
Monitor all addenda, scope changes and bid forms to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely manner.
Conduct bid-day vendor analysis which includes scope review, quotation analysis and review of subcontractor tabulation work sheets.
Pursue business opportunities with new and existing customers by building long-term business relationships with key decision makers.
Utilize market condition information, knowledge of customer needs, competition capabilities and market niche histories.
Understand capabilities and availability of internal resources to meet current and projected workload needs.
Participate in industry and association events to further enhance business relationships within the industry.
Oversee project turnover to the project team for sold projects via the MISOP process.
Provide assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
POSITION
Qualifications:
We currently seek with 3 to 5 years' experience with commercial HVAC and Plumbing construction projects (either as a project manager or estimator). Desire candidates with a track record of building strong relationships and experience in conceptual estimating as well as a full understanding of system costs for various applications and building types.
A Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a closely related field is desired.
EIT, PE and/or LEED Accredited Professional certification would be desirable. Candidate would be expected to complete their certification within the first year of employment.
Ability to interface with design professionals, building owners, general contractors, as well as internal engineering and take-off departments.
Ability to meet regularly with existing customers, lead customer outings/events, call on potential customers, manage prospect tracking, and work with estimating and operational teams to produce effective proposals.
Experience in system costs for various applications and building types.
Interview experience in construction project presentations
Extensive knowledge of how corporate objectives impact estimating, estimating strategies and techniques and of various types of construction contracts.
Ability to solve complex multiple faceted problems using various problem-solving techniques.
Ability to make decisions based on limited information, able to draw the inferences from the information to support the decision.
Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
Possesses good negotiation techniques and the ability to be persuasive.
Excellent interpersonal skills to the extent considered to be a people person.
Able to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
