The Shuttle Driver is responsible for learning a route, and driving students safely and efficiently.
To be successful as a Smiley Shuttle Driver, you should demonstrate a willingness to be a part of a team, have a great attitude, have great attendance.
Drivers work a split-shift, from approximately 6:
00am to 8:
30am, and then from 2:
00pm to approximately 5:
30pm.
Days are Monday - Friday, with evenings, weekends and school holidays off.
Our Drivers must do thorough pre-trips and post trips, so minimal physical activity is required.
Student Shuttle Driver
Responsibilities:
Maintaining calendars and schedules which pertain to your specific route.
Performing thorough pre-trips and post-trips on the van.
Following all Company Policies and Procedures to ensure safety.
Reporting all issues and incidents to your supervisor.
Ensuring that student always have seatbelts properly buckled.
Abiding by all relevant traffic and safety laws.
Student Shuttle Driver Requirements:
Must have a clean driving record.
Must be between 23 and 75 years old, (per our commercial insurance policy).
Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Must have had a valid Driver's License for at least 3 years.
We offer Certification of First-Aid, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens.
