Property Tax Analyst

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to provide operational support to the Ad Valorem Tax Advisors team while acting as liaison between multiple stakeholders including property tax consultants, clients, management, and our executive management team.
This individual will be responsible for the scheduling, preparing, and processing correspondence and documentation for submission to clients, affiliated contacts, and appraisal districts.

Essential duties include the following:
Enters and updates data in relevant software applications.
Review board orders, entering into the database and sends to client with cover letter.
Processes incoming postal correspondence and act upon such documentation in a timely and effective manner.
Assists in researching, entering, and scanning proposed values efficiently and accurately.
Performs research regarding missing documentation or obtain clarification on correspondence.
Assist in obtaining tax rates from all entities and enter in the database.
Performs general research to including public record request, deed research, exemption and abatement, fiduciary code, and any other property tax related research as needed.
Review client portfolio to ensure ownership and authorization status with Appraisal District.
Schedules informal and formal appraisal review board hearings.
Performs notary public duties.
Prepare new appointment of agent forms.
Review and approve tax statements and send to clients.
Assists property tax consultants with submitting personal property renditions to appraisal districts.
Assists in assembly of documentation such as hearing file preparation, personal property, real property renditions, and other materials required for preparation of reports for clients, property tax consultants, and assessing jurisdictions.
Acts as the liaison between client and jurisdiction to exchange or obtain information such as authorization forms, assessments, income, and expense, and rent roll.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or related field of study preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in property tax, administration, or customer service and data entry required.
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Workday.
Proficient knowledge in business processes.
Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Proficient organizational & planning skills.
Proficient data entry and data validation skills.
Advanced multi-tasking, collecting and analyzing data, managing priorities and deadlines, and problem-solving skills.
Working negotiation skills.
Able to communicate and interact effectively via verbal and written communications.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Able to work collaboratively and build relationships.
Able to analyze, organize, and prioritize work.
Able to be adaptable.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
Able to type 35 WPM.
Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
Sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
Push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs.
