Our child-care regulation inspectors work as a collaborative team monitoring and investigating residential child-care facilities throughout the State of Texas.
Team members perform facility inspections, conduct investigations in general residential operations, child-placing agencies, and agency homes, provide training to residential child-care providers, and convene inquiry meetings for residential child-care facility applicants.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Valid driver's license Initial Selection Criteria:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector III:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university or currently employed as a Child Care Licensing Specialist/Inspector III.
Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector IV:
Employed as a Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector for two years and have the Child Care Licensing Inspection Certification, or currently employed as a Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector IV, or have previous work experience as a Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector IV.
Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector V:
Employed as a Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector for four years and currently and have the Child Care Licensing Advanced Specialist/Inspector Certification, or currently employed as a Child Care Licensing Inspector V, or have previous work experience as a Residential Child Care Licensing Specialist/Inspector V This position may also be filled as CCL Inspector IV or V if applicant has previous experience as a CCL Inspector.
