Saginaw, TX Saginaw, TX Full-time Full-time From $65,000 a year From $65,000 a year Summary Under the directions of the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing HR support and guidance to the organization.
Other responsibilities include the administration of company policies, procedures and programs.
The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Providing guidance and coaching to team members on all issues related to human resources management Aligning HR activities with business goals and developing initiatives that drive achievement of business goals Administering employee benefits programs Assisting with employee training initiatives and coordinating quarterly safety training Administering all 401K enrollments, changes and loans requests Coordinating assignments with Personnel agencies and managing the Temp talent process Conducing recruitment efforts for designated positions Working closely with Payroll to manage employee changes, time-off requests and pay adjustments Processing Leave of Absence, FMLA and Non-Subscribers LOA's Conducting new hire orientation, 401K benefit orientation and processing enrollment for eligible employees Maintaining personnel files and records in compliance with retention requirements Ability to interact with employees at all levels in the company Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to human resources Conducting thorough investigations, appropriately document, develop findings of fact and ensuring appropriate recommendations in compliance with Company policy, employment laws and regulations Helping drive consistencies across the organization.
Saturday work required when necessary Unemployment claims Interviews workers to gather information on worker attitudes toward work environment and supervision received to facilitate resolution of employee relations problems:
Explains to workers company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance.
Gathers information on workers' feelings about factors and affect worker morale, motivation, and efficiency Meets with management to discuss possible actions to be taken Good attendance is a must.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a combination of higher education and experience Minimum of eight years experience Bilingual (English / Spanish) Experience working in multiple functional areas of human resources Working knowledge of MS Office suite Strong communication skills (writing, oral and listening) Excellent interpersonal skills Able to multitask Job Snapshot:
