Position
Summary:
The purpose of this job is to provide daily oversite of planning teams and to assist the Regional Supply Chain Managers to maintain and ensure adherence to production schedule activities to optimize efficiency, cost, and reliability.
This role keeps management informed on work in progress and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, maintain, and report on performance of the master production schedule.
Coordinates activities and objectives of planning teams to meet overall departmental objectives/KPIs.
Report metrics to Regional Supply Chain Manager.
Determine overall quality of departmental output and make recommendations on improvement efforts.
Inform Regional Supply Chain Manager on work in progress and potential production problems.
Assist Regional Supply Chain Manager to help manage, coordinate and monitor training and development programs for team members.
Partner with Human Resources for support.
Ensure compliance with the department's established operating model.
Partner with Regional Supply Chain Manager and Human Resources to develop and maintain department skills matrix.
Involved in functional policy and procedure process development and implementation.
Lead the effort to standardize and document the functional business process manual.
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, team, and visitors.
Support continuous improvement programs using established scientific methodology.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, logistics or related field or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of related work experience.
Food manufacturing related experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
High level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Proficient in the use of JDE.
Fundamentals of production planning, commercial and financial acumen.
Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
APICS certification a plus.
Proven ability to optimize team performance and development.
Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
Conflict management and risk management skills, ability to negotiate and influence.
Project management skills, results oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
