Job Description:
The Applications Development Manager is vital to our organizational success and will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating project management, technical staff, and application and database development through active engagement to create and update business critical software and database systems as well as facilitating change management processes, providing clear communication with end users.
Leadership of our people and maintaining our culture is our top priority for this role.
Responsibilities include:
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment by leading, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to a team consisting of project managers, business analysts, developers, database staff, and QA/technical writers to ensure the successful execution of software development projects.
Coordinate with project management, business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and create project plans to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software applications while also dynamically prioritizing project tasks in an everchanging ecosystem.
Work with business analyst and technical staff to effectively translate project plans into Jira epics, stories, and tasks.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular project updates.
In-depth working knowledge and experience in the design, development, and implementation of software applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, C#,.
NET, and T-SQL.
Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices by working with team leaders to review and optimize code across all platforms for performance and scalability and mobility.
Support the creation and implementation of robust quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing, and debugging, to ensure the delivery of reliable and bug-free software applications.
Candidate must thrive in a high-paced environment with ability to lead teams to productivity on multiple simultaneous projects and engagements.

Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or science related field.
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible management or leadership experience in software development and/or data management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in SDLC processes overseeing application cycles including requirements gathering, design, development, QA, UAT, and release.
Experience with enterprise data management and data integration projects.
Excellent multitasking ability with exceptional written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams with differing priorities.
Experience with SaaS, PaaS, mobile first environments with Azure infrastructure.
Curiosity and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Microsoft and/or ITIL Certifications a plus.
Primary work location on-site in West Fort Worth facility.
Minimal travel (including international) may be required in this role (5%-10%).
Candidate will be required to attend (virtual) after-hours scheduled maintenance windows.
Previous experience in the documentation/design of DevOps processes a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
