2 Full-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description The Perioperative Quality and Accreditation Coordinators chief responsibility is assure that leaders understand and implement practices that comply with regulatory, accrediting and licensing agencies.
The Perioperative Quality and Accreditation Coordinator will assist in development of solutions for compliance of standard and best practice.
The Coordinator works closely with the members of Perioperative services to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified.
The specific components would include:
Clinical Knowledge The coordinator will have clinical knowledge about services and processes in the perioperative areas.
Computer Knowledge The coordinator will have the ability to learn and utilize applications to support measurement and improvement work.
Hospital Department and Systems Knowledge The coordinator will work with other services and groups as needed to implement improvement plans.
The coordinator will have an understanding of the Cook Childrens Promise and will be able to prioritize improvement work to meet department and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
BSN and RN required with minimum 5 years clinical experience, preferably perioperative experience.
Current knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards is required.
The candidate should have experience gathering information in a complex hospital system environment.
Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred.
Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers required.
Assessment of practice and identification of areas for quality improvement requires clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care.
Ability to interact with all members of the surgical team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner required.
Experience with Team facilitation preferred.
The position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a changing health care environment.
Ability to work with all members of the health care team to achieve positive outcomes.
Computer literacy.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Maintains current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
Location:
Cook Children's Health Care System Accred Compliance Schedule:
Full-Time, 1st Shift.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
