That's Nice, But What's the Job? In short, the Quality Control Manager works with QC specialists and oversees and ensures process monitoring throughout the organization.
This position reports to a Senior Manager and is the manager of an assigned team of QC Specialists in the call center.
Their main task is to supervise the quality control activities by hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the identified team, and establishing partnerships with other key disciplines and lines of business throughout the organization.
In long, the Quality Control Manager:
Lead a team of quality control specialists who perform process and procedural audits on different business units within the company.
Compile audit findings into reports that are shared with business leadership.
Identify, track, and monitor business trends and opportunities and support in the remediation process.
Work with internal business partners to set and maintain benchmarks.
Interact with and report to different levels of leadership; act as an internal liaison.
Collaborate with business leaders on defects and audit findings.
Initiate new audit processes as requested by business leaders.
Interview, train, coach, develop, and mentor quality control specialists.
Participate of process improvement projects.
Develop, facilitate, and oversee internal training on a wide array of internal processes.
Required Skills Previous management experience and strong leadership skills.
Strategic & analytical mindset; attention to detail.
Strong people skills; excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, Teams, Outlook, Forms, PowerPoint, & SharePoint.
Passion for servant leadership and building and managing effective teams.
Ability to multitask, organize, time-manage, and prioritize under pressure.
Forward thinking, problem solving, solution driven.
Project management:
ability to launch new internal processes audits from start to finish.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in quality control, quality assurance, compliance, and/or process improvement.
Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Process mapping / process design.
Working knowledge of statistics.
