We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist to join Cummings Electrical.
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
This role will support the leadership team in promoting a high-performance work environment and positive culture.

Responsibilities:
Support the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
Assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Maintains knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert regarding Employment policies, procedures, benefits, and other governmental reporting regulations such as EEOC.
Assists managers and supervisors in appropriate resolution of employee relations, and other HR issues such as employee development, staffing and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Investigates and advises on employee relations issues.
Provides guidance to managers and employees on HR issues including compliance, employment law and processes.
Identifies trends and proposes improvements to address any areas of concern.
Implements core processes such as leave and benefits management, new hire onboarding, and coordination of new hire paperwork and processes.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Coaches and trains managers on HR processes and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
At least three (3) years of human resources experience, preferred.
PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
Working Conditions:
Mainly office but may also include all other work environments as required:
sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
Work is generally performed in climate-controlled office environment.
Primary environment:
ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal.
May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
Can be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noises and extreme heat/cold temperatures, if visiting job sites or other off-site events.
Can be exposed to Heavy Equipment, slippery surfaces, uneven footing on the jobsite.
Moderate noise (i.
e.
business office with computers, phone, and printers, light foot traffic).
Physical Function:
Repeat the same mental activities.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Ability to operate a keyboard at efficient speed and typical business office equipment, including computer hardware.
Regularly required to talk and/or hear; use hands to operate objects, tools or controls (phone, computer, printer etc.
); and reach with hands and arms.
Work performed causes fatigue of eyes, fingers and other facilities because of continuous use of motor senses.
Vision and hearing at or correctable to normal ranges.
May be occasionally be asked to lift, stoop, kneel, and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands.
Regular, predictable attendance is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
