Financial Controller

BASIC FUNCTION The Controller will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting procedures at the company.
Typical responsibilities would include preparation of monthly financials, management of day-to-day financial decisions, job profitability analysis, and oversight of the local ERP system.
The Controller will report to the GM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Manage accounting staff to develop and enhance accounting procedures and controls.
Prepare and maintain annual budgets, financial forecasts and performance analysis.
Support the General Manager and team with reports and information as requested.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement growth initiatives.
Assemble capital expenditures plan and perform ROI analysis Develop operationally focused reports including KPI monitoring tools.
Establish credit guidelines and other risk mitigation strategies.
Manage financial elements of the ERP System CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS SOUGHT The role calls for an experienced financial professional, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong financial skills - Knowledge of GAAP accounting rules, FP&A, and cost accounting.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills Basic knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and databases Proficiency in MS office suite of products, including Excel and PowerPoint EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controller or an Assistant Controller A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting MBA, CPA or CFA designations preferred, but not required
