1 Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description The Center for Transforming Lives is seeking an experienced Education Coordinator to join our fast-paced growing team.
The Education Coordinator has the primary responsibility to support Child and Family Services program operations.
Program operations include but are not limited to supporting families, children, and staff with educational services in line with best practices for early childhood education.
This also includes support to ensure school readiness, provide technical assistance, mentor and train all staff.
The position provides supervision to mentor coaches.
RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure services are aligned with the Center for Transforming Lives' mission and core values, the Education Coordinator will:
Demonstrate leadership skills; ability to plan, monitor, and manage training logistics; effective problem solving; interpret and implement current policies and procedures.
Assess training needs and develops, conduct and/or arrange training as needed, including pre-service and in-service training sessions.
Create and monitor agency training plan.
Identify, develop, and provide additional training as determined by surveys, emergent early learning competencies, and other agency needs.
Collaborate with managers to ensure mandatory training (Minimum Standards, Education, Mental Health & Disabilities, Family Services, Quality Assurance, etc.
) are included in the annual training plan.
Collaborate with Education Coordinators to ensure annual training for classroom staff meets Head Start Program Performance Standard and state licensing mandates.
Manage, oversee and follow up with Individual Professional Development Plans, data entry, and Child Plus monitoring reports.
Works directly with Center Directors, Managers, and Supervisors.
Assist and respond to inquiries and questions from applicants, managers, supervisors, and employees; evaluate appropriate human resources policies, procedures, and processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES BA/BS or MA in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, Leadership, Non-profit Administration, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in early childhood education and the management of staff development.
This position is an exempt position and offers competitive compensation and benefits; salary commensurate with experience, education and fit for the position and within team.
