Graphic Product Designer

Prepares final design files for production based on supplied specifications for packaging and tech packs.
Follows established templates, style guides and mechanical creation processes to ensure brand consistency and deliver accurate final print ready files.
Required to be well versed with resolution/DPI requirements and size accuracies.
Understands and identifies the set up and proper usage of CMYK and spot colors Pantone matching system and conversion to CMYK when applicable.
Trouble shoots any issues, such as font size, color, file set up, and image resolution quality and copy or image inaccuracies.
Works directly to output proofs, preflight files, and release to printers or factories.
Catalog and reference art for future projects.
Ability to follow established timelines and ensure completion of tasks regardless of project details, ever-changing deadlines and overall workload.
Collaborate and partners with team members to inspired creative thinking and design.
Experience with licensed products a plus but not required.
High color perception and trend follower.
Affinity for or experience with Fashion/Western lifestyle knowledge a plus.
Must have a proven track record creating visually pleasing and cohesive graphics with a firm understanding of retail and the creative process.
This position will focus on graphic design, package design, merchandising and product development.
Innovative design and exceptional type skills are required.
Position requires the ability to translate design into production mechanical files and tech packs for print ready release from approved design templates.
Must be meticulous and goal oriented with a keen eye for the smallest details.
Work will include reviewing design specifications, creating layered Adobe Illustrator files, placing high resolution images and creating line extensions based on designer templates.
Outstanding organizational, project management, file organization and archiving skills are a must.

Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent experience.
Three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive knowledge of pre-press and post production process.
Great interpersonal skills, able to make effective decisions, and positively influence people.
Excellent communication skills.
Tenacious and creative problem-solving skills.
Proficient Computer Software Skills:
Apple Mac equipment and operating systems.
Adobe Creative Suite (Strong concentration in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
Extensive knowledge of pre-press & post production processes.
Multi-tasker who works effectively and flexibly in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment.
