Overview This position supports the Sr. Director of Compliance and Audit and Compliance department in the areas of HIPAA compliance, audits, company policies, regulatory changes and compliance and business continuity. The role requires the ability to organize and analyze information and distill meaningful communication from it. Attention to detail and ability to work to deadline while gathering input from others is paramount Responsibilities o Support with all HIPPA related issues; including tracking and investigating HIPAA related matters; preparing timely notification to the health plans; documenting relevant information in ACES and preparing associated HIPAA risk assessment. o Support the CCO with compliance audits; including project managing all audits; gathering information, preparing and coordinating timely responses to audit requests; assisting in the preparation of corrective action plans and responding to additional information requests. o Oversee Landmark Policies and Procedures; including assisting with development of compliance P&P; overseeing consistency in policy content and format; coordinating with various departments to revise policies and practices that align with and satisfy regulatory requirements; and leading the policy committee. o Assists in identification, review and implementation of new and revised laws and regulations that impact Landmark business. o Research of questions from Landmark team members related to regulatory compliance; including maintaining a strong working knowledge of local, state, and national health issues; providing compliance support and assistance to operational committees and providing timely responses to questions. o Administers the First Tier, Downstream and related entities (FDR) Compliance Program under the direction of the Privacy Officer. o Support of the Business Continuity Program; including facilitating meetings and conducting exercises. o Assists in implementing Landmark internal audit processes to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations and program guidance; including audit program support; ongoing risk assessment processes; conducting ad hoc audits as needed; analyzing information; identifying deficiencies; developing reports and formulating recommendations for corrective action; partner with department managers to implement corrective action plans, monitors progress and ensures completeness. Additionally, monitors compliance risks and ensures that Landmark responds timely. o Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE o Bachelor's degree in a business, or equivalent experience. o 5-7 years of continuous experience with internal audit, quality improvement or related field o Minimum of 1 year in healthcare compliance. o Optional industry certifications:
CHC, CPHQ, ASQ CQA, CISA, RAPS RAC. o Experience being the Subject Matter Expert for a document or incident storage system. o Experience in developing and organizing electronic filing systems PREFERRED SKILLS o Proficiency with MS Office suite is required o Strong communication and writing ability o Ability to analyze, interpret, research and evaluate options o Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment; to work effectively under pressure; to accurately complete tasks within established timelines and to maintain confidentiality. $80K -- $100K

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
